Sponsorship

PSEC was established to provide industrial interactions, technology transfer and funding for research in the process systems engineering of high value products. Several mechanisms are available to support PSEC research activities.

Direct consortium contribution

  • General support for research and education mission
  • Divided between the PIs at funded University
  • Reduced overhead costs (0-10%)
  • Currently $30,000/year
  • Membership for an annual fee of $15,000 is available to small businesses

Direct project support

  • Funding for student and essential supplies
  • Negotiated directly with participating PIs
  • Usually involves research contract with full overhead costs (~50%)
  • Approximately $50,000/year

Cost Sharing Contribution

  • Collaborative research grants for state and federal agencies
  • Leverage industrial support
  • Support level depends on grant program
